Stepan Kazanin was born on December 19, 1974 in Nadym, Tyumen region. At school, he initiated the creation of the KVK school team. After school, Stepan entered the Tambov Institute of Chemical Engineering, where he studied to become an electromechanical engineer. At univesity, life inextricably connected him with the stage – he spent all his free time in the club. In the second year, he had to go to the army for two years. After finishing his service duty, he entered the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University at the faculty of Economics.
In 2003, the boys from the «Kvartal 95» invite Stepan to their team. And when at the end of 2003, the new team was formed – the «Kvartal 95» studio, Stepan immediately joined the team and became the integral part of it. He takes part in «Vecherniy Kvartal», «Vecherniy Kiev», «Sunday With Kvatal» projects, starred in the musicals “Three Musketeers”, “Like Cossacks”, “1+1 Home Alone. New Year”, “1+1 Home Alone. March 8”, the series “Servant Of The People” and others.
He was a the host of a famous morning show «Pydyom» on the «Noviy» channel. In 2010, Stepan Kazanin became the host of the high-profile extreme show of the “Inter” TV channel “Battle of Ukrainian Cities”, which was implemented on the international TV format Wipeout.
Stepan participated in full-length movies: “Office Romance. Our Times”, “8 Best Dates”, television films “Love In The Big City 3” and “Servant Of The People 2”.
Married. They raise two sons – Stepan and Peter together with his wife Natalia.
Since 2014, he supports our soldiers together with his friends and colleagues from the «Kvartal 95» – goes with performances to defenders and send aid.
Since the beginning of the full – scale war, he helps evacuate children from dangerous regions in East Ukraine together with his friends – volunteers.
Stevan’s real name is Serhii. He called himself Stepan in his first year of university as a joke – he wanted to prank his classmates this way, who for some reason could not remember what his real name was. And that’s how Serhii got his joky name. First at university, then at KVK, and later everyone around started calling him Stepan
