Biography
He was born on January 30, 1976 in Kryvyi Rih. While still at school, Sasha stood out among other students – was a was a real cool guy and hooligan: a checked jacket, a James Dean – like hairstyle and a wide tie. After the school he entered the Kryvyi Rih National University, but never became a professional engineer. During student years he got interested in acting. He managed the student theater of variety miniatures (STVM), where almost all the actors of «Kvartal» took their first steps on the stage, played in the «KVK». Oleksandr’s work biography is varied and rich: he worked as a bodyguard, a watcher, the janitor, construction handyman and even… an assistant defect inspector. But the «Kvartal 95» became the main thing in his life. Oleksandr Pikalov is one of those, who stood near the origins of the «Kvartal». He took part in the majority of TV and film projects of the team, including «Vecherniy Kvartal», «Vecherniy Kiev», «Servant of the People» and many others. Dozens of roles in popular television projects, series, musicals and entertainment shows are in his career. The irreplaceable actor of the main «Kvartal» composition. Oleksandr has a broad experience as an actor and co – creator of many successful projects: «Vecherniy Kvartal», «Zhenskiy Kvartal», «Vecherniy Kiev», «Baking NEWS», «Like Cossacs(?)», «Ukraine, Wake Up!(?)», «Shelter» etc. In 2018, the female humorous project «Zhenskiy Kvartal» was founded and Oleksandr Pikalov bacame the art director.
In 2022, after the full – scale war started, joined the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine.
Divorced. Has a son – Mykhailo.

Charitable activities
Since 2014, he supports our soldiers together with his friends and colleagues from the «Kvartal 95» studio – not only raises the fighting spirit of our defenders during the trips near the frontline and performances in military units, hospitals, bomb shelters and shooting ranges, but also actively volunteers – buys and personally delivers what is needed the most by our soldiers to the frontline. In August 2022, Oleksandr founded the «Charitable Fund of Oleksandr Pikalov» (https://www.pikalovfond.org.ua/): first in order to support and return childhood to migrant children from Mariupol, who were forced to leave their home city after the full – scale invasion of russia on the territory of Ukraine. Today, the foundation`s main activity is educational, career guidance and social rehabilitation activities for children and youth – for migrant children and children of military personnel, railway workers, and energy workers.
Intresting facts
Oleksandr`s first ever job was a watcher and the janitor in the Pioneer House in Kryvyi Rih. He was working there for three years, first of all, because he could rehearse with the team at hight.
Suffers from claustrophobia ( a fear of closed and tight spaces). That is why he does not fly in planes and does not use elevators – no matter how many floors need to be overcome, always go up by foot.
Oleksandr is a fan of Elvis Presley. That is why some friends call him «Elvis». Sasha’s passion for the work of this artist began in childhood. For the first time, he heard Elvis Presley`s song «Hound Dog» in third grade. Since then rock – & roll has forever entered Oleksandr`s life.
Sasha is an avid biker. Motorbikes are the hobby, which lasts for many years. He bought his first Harley – Davidson with the money he had to pay as the last payment the apartment loan. Oleksandr also likes to ride a motorcycle. Once he revealed that the maximum speed he has ever driven is 204 km/hour.
